Archival Photographic Components, their Origin and the Care for them Using the Example of Selected Funds from the State Regional Archives Prague

Abstract:

Tématem této práce jsou Fotografické součásti archivních fondů, jejich původ a péče o ně, na příkladu vybraných fondů ze SOA Praha. Na začátku se nachází stručná historie fotografie, její vznik, nejstarší techniky až po techniky 20. století a způsob, jakým se fotografie začínala dostávat do společnosti. Další kapitola se věnuje popsání pravidel k ukládání fotografií do archivů. Následují dva soupisy ze šlechtických rodinných archivů Thurn Taxisů a Nádherných, stručná historie rodů, popis fondů, ve kterém se nacházejí. Na konci soupisů jsou provedeny sondy vyzdvihující nejzajímavější snímky, jejich popis obsahu, formátu, popřípadě osob, které se na nich objevují. Srovnání obou fondů je k nalezení v poslední kapitole. Nejdůležitější částí práce jsou uvedené sondy, které nejen, že poukazují na obsah fotoarchivu, ale také skutečný stav uložení.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is Photographical parts of archival funds, their origin and care of them, using examples of selected funds of SOA Praha. On the beginning there is a brief history of photograph, its formation, from the oldest techniques to techniques of 20th century and the way how photograph started getting in the society. The next chapter describes rules of storage of photographs to archives. The following are two inventories from noble family archives of Thurn - Taxis and Nádherní, brief history of lineages, description of the funds, where it can be found. In the end of these inventories there are made probes highlighting the most interesting pictures, description of their content, format, or people, who appear in it. Comparison of both funds is to be found in last chapter. The most important parts are listed probes that not only pointing on content of photo archive, but also on real state of storage.
