The use of the BPMN 2.0 notation and UML in the improvement of business processes

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je navrhnout zlepšení podnikových procesů – objednávání u dodavatelů, prodeje a reklamace s využitím notace BPMN 2.0 a UML ve firmě Euronics. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na procesní řízení, modelování a zavádění procesů do podnikové praxe. Primárně je práce zaměřena na navržení analytických a posléze návrhových modelů podnikových procesů, ale také na návrh modelu IS s podporou vybraných procesů. Hlavní pozornosti je v teoretické i praktické části věnováno notaci BPMN 2.0 a grafickému jazyku UML převážně use case modelům. To zahrnuje jejich specifika, ukázky modelování a grafické znázornění jednotlivých procesů a IS firmy. V teoretické části práce je vysvětlena problematika procesního řízení, následně jsou objasněny typy procesů, modelování a zavádění podnikových procesů. V praktické části pak bude představen nejdříve analytický a posléze návrhový model zlepšených procesů a IS s podporou vybraných procesů ve firmě Euronics.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to propose an improvements of business processes - ordering from suppliers, sales and reclamation using the notation BPMN 2.0 and UML in the company Euronics. The diploma thesis focuses on process management, modeling and implementation of processes in business practice. The work is primarily focused on the design of analytical and then design models of business processes, but also on the design of the IS model with the support of selected processes. The main attention is paid in the theoretical and practical part to the notation BPMN 2.0 and the graphical language UML mainly use case models. This includes their specifics, modeling examples and graphical representation of individual processes and the company's IS. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the issues of process management, then clarifies the types of processes, modeling and implementation of business processes. In the practical part, the analytical and then the design model of improved processes and IS with the support of selected processes in the company Euronics will be presented.
