Holocaust Denial

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tématu popírání Holocaustu. Práce obsahuje podrobné vykreslení historických událostí vedoucích k Holocaustu, tak jako kontroverzní tvrzení popíračů. Hlavní úkol této studie spočívá v indikaci možných důsledků těchto tvrzení a zároveň poskytuje varování o rasové nenávisti a nesnášenlivosti pro příští generace. První kapitola je věnována představení jevu popírání Holocaustu, jako takového. Druhá kapitola představuje ideologii vedoucí k Holocaustu.Ve třetí kapitole se pojednává o Holocaustu, podloženého historickými událostmi. Čtvrtá kapitola poskytuje výčet nejčastějších tvrzení popíračů Holocaustu a jejich taktik. Pátá kapitola se věnuje vzdělávání o Holocaustu, jako prevenci proti budoucím projevům rasismu a nesnášenlivosti. Polemika o možných, tak jako existujících dúsledcích popírání této historické události, je obsažena v závěru této práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of the Holocaust Denial. It provides a detailed rendering of historical events leading to Holocaust as well as contradictory statements of the protagonists of Holocaust Denial. The chief aim of this research is to indicate potential consequences of such claims and to provide a warning for the new generations of the danger of racial hatred and intolerance. The first chapter is dedicated to the introduction of this occurrence as such. The second chapter deals with the topic of Holocaust itself based on historical evidence. The third chapter provides a summary of the most common assertions of supporters of Holocaust Denial and their tactics. The fifth chapter deals with the education of Holocaust as prevention to future displays of racism and intolerance. Polemics about potential as well as existent consequences resulting from denials of this historical event are found in conclusion.
