Cílem této bakalářské práce je podat informace o teorii tlumočení, představit druhy tlumočení, se kterými je možné se setkat. Dalším cílem je utvořit glosář pro tlumočníky a pro studenty cizích jazyků. Teoretická část vysvětluje pojem tlumočení, popisuje, jaké vlastnosti by měl mít tlumočník, jaké jsou rozdíly mezi překladem a tlumočením. Dále představuje hlavní druhy tlumočení.
