The intergenerational family reciprocity

Abstract:

Tato práce se snaží zmapovat problematiku mezigenerační rodinné reciprocity s důrazem na starého člověka a jeho potřeby. Zabývám se v ní pojmy jako je solidarita, vzájemnost (reciprocita) a jejich úlohách v rodinných mezigeneračních vtazích. Spolu s mezigenerační solidaritou v rodinách se zabývám i solidaritou v naší současné společnosti, zmiňuji také historický kontext. V teoretické části dále informuji o aktérech mezigenerační rodinné reciprocity a jejich rolích, hovořím o principech, kterými se příbuzenské vztahy řídí, o recipročně sdílených činnostech a statcích, ale i o komunikaci, která mezi jednotlivými aktéry probíhá.V praktické části rozkrývám metodou dotazování, pozorování, analýzy, syntézy a komparace zkušenosti aktérů s fungováním mezigenerační reciprocity v jejich rodině, a to ve vztazích senioři-zletilé děti, senioři-zletilá (pra)vnoučata; dále druhy činností, na kterých se jednotliví aktéři nejčastěji podílí a v neposlední řadě způsoby komunikace mezi jednotlivými účastníky mezigenerační rodinné reciprocity v konkrétních rodinách.

Abstract:

The goal of the paper is to elucidate problems connected with the intergenerational reciprocity in the family. I outline the elderly and their needs. The paper informs not only about functions of a solidarity and reciprocity in current intergenerational relationships and in the whole society but also in the history, too. The theoretical part of the paper presents the participants of the intergenerational reciprocity and their roles, principles of relationships, reciprocally shared activities, goods and consumables and recurredly interchanged things, the give and take of ideas and all the participants´communication.In the practical part of the paper I ask questions, I examine and analyse, besides I synthetize and compare the following topics: the participants´ experience of the intergenerational reciprocity in their families in the relation of the elderly to adult children, adult grandchildren and adult great-grandchildren, kinds of their shared activities in most cases and ways of communication used by individual participants in the intergenerational reciprocity in particular families.
