Perception of sexuality from the perspective of women during pregnancy and the puerperium

Abstract:

Teoretická část se skládá z dostupných odborných informací z oblasti sexuality a porodnictví, které byly shrnuty a zpracovány. Tato práce se zabývá tématem sexuologie a také historií české a zahraniční sexuologie. Důraz je kladen zejména na fyziologické, anatomické a psychické změny, které se v průběhu těhotenství a šestinedělí objevují a ovlivňují vnímání sexuality. Stěžejním tématem práce je popis vnímání sexuality z pohledu ženy. Dále jsou v práci zmíněny možné porodní poranění a psychické poruchy, které mohou v období šestinedělí vzniknout a mít negativní vliv na sexualitu a partnerský vztah. V teoretické části byl stanoven hlavní cíl, kterým bylo analyzovat, zda a jak se mění sexualita v období těhotenství a šestinedělí. Byly stanoveny také tři dílčí cíle a hypotéza, která předpokládala, že se snižuje libido a také potřeba a frekvence pohlavního styku. Pro získání informací a dosažení výsledků byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum. Pro dotazníkové šetření byl vytvořen nestandardizovaný dotazník. Analýza výsledků byla graficky i tabulkově zpracována. Průzkum v praktické části ukázal, že se sexualita v průběhu těhotenství a šestinedělí mění. Předem stanovené cíle a hypotézy byly splněny.

Abstract:

The theoretical part consists of available professional information in the field of sexuality and obstetrics, which has been summarized and elaborated. In this thesis I deal with the topic of sexology and also the history of Czech and foreign sexology. The emphasis is mainly on the physiological, anatomical and psychological changes that occur during pregnancy and puerperium, which affect the perception of sexuality. The main theme of the thesis is the description of the perception of sexuality from the woman's point of view. Furthermore, the thesis discusses possible birth injuries and psychological disorders that may arise during the six-week period and have a negative impact on the woman's sexuality and partner relationship. In the theoretical part, the main aim was set, which was to analyse whether and how sexuality changes during pregnancy and the six-week period. Three sub-objectives were also set and a hypothesis was made which assumed, that libido decreases as well as the need and frequency of sexual intercourse. A quantitative research design was chosen to obtain information and achieve the result. A non-standardized questionnaire was made for the survey. The analysis of the results was graphically and tabulatedly elaborated . The survey in the practical part showed that sexuality changes during pregnancy and puerperium. The predetermined objectives and hypotheses were met.
