Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat vývoj Evropské měnové unie a možnosti jejího dalšího rozšíření. V první kapitole je uveden vznik a následné formování Evropské měnové unie. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na Konvergenční kritéria. Hodnocení plnění podmínek Českou republikou je popsáno ve třetí kapitole. This research was written to investigate development of European monetary union and further possibilities to spead up. In the first chapter there is stated history of establishment and subsesquently formation of European monetary union. Second chapter is focused on Convergent criterion.
