Preparation of \recke{alpha}-methyl-\kur{tert}-leucine and its amide in optically pure form

Abstract:

Racemická 2-acetamido-2,3,3-trimethylbutanová kyselina byla připravena z pinakolonu třístupňovou syntézou. Následně bylo provedeno dělení racemátu této kyseliny pomocí chininu. Byla vyvinuta metoda pro přípravu opticky čistého (S)-2-amino-2,3,3-trimethylbutanamidu. Všechny produkty a meziprodukty byly charakterizovány s využitím dostupných spektroskopických metod.

Abstract:

2-Acetamido-2,3,3-trimethylbutanoic acid was prepared in racemic form from pinacolone in three steps. Subsequently, the resolution of racemic mixture was performed by using of quinine. (S)-2-Amino-2,3,3-trimethylbutanamide was prepared in optically pure form. All new prepared compounds and the intermediates were characterized by means of spectroscopic methods.
