Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvořit aplikaci na testování hypotézy, zda šance na přežití pasažérů na jednotlivých palubách Titaniku byly shodné. Lze testovat i další hypotézy (shodu šancí na přežití v závislosti na věku, pohlaví, místu nalodění). Vhodnou metodou pro analýzu bude test nezávislosti v kontingenčních tabulkách. Zpracování dat vyžaduje vytvoření databáze. K dispozici jsou údaje shromážděné o pasažérech i posádce. Aplikace by měla umět vhodným způsobem znázornit obsazení parníku (palub, kajut). Dále by aplikace měla realizovat provedení popsaných statistických testů.

Abstract:

The goal is to create an application to test the hypothesis that the chances of survival for individual passengers aboard the Titanic were identical. We can test other hypotheses (chance of survival depending on age, sex, place of embarkation). Suitable method for the analysis will test of independence in contingency tables. Data processing requires the creation of a database. There are data collected on passengers and crew. The application should be able to cast an appropriate way to represent the steamer (decks, cabins). Furthermore, the application should implement the embodiments described statistical tests.
