Revolt against the Society: Hesse's "Demian" and Werfel's "Not the Murderer, the Murdered Is Guilty"

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the motives of revolt in the works by Hermann Hesse (Demian) and Franz Werfel (Not the murderer, the murdered is guilty). The attention is aimed at the complicated relation of a young man to the society. The individual authorities are judged. The thesis tries to refer to the values, which the older generation and the select models hand over to their successors …more

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá motivy vzpoury v dílech Hermanna Hesseho (Demian) a Franze Werfla (Ne vrah, zavražděný je vinen). Ve středu pozornosti stojí komplikovaný vztah mladého člověka ke společnosti. Jsou posouzeny jednotlivé autority. Práce se snaží poukázat na hodnoty, které starší generace a vybrané vzory předávají svým následovníkům. Na konci práce jsou srovnána obě díla vzhledem k tématice.
