Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o politickém procesu s protistátní skupinou "Benedikt a spol.", který vyvrcholil ve dnech od 23. do 25. března roku 1953 před Krajským soudem Ústí nad Labem a jehož výsledkem bylo odsouzení patnácti lidí k trestům odnětí svobody v sazbě od čtyř do dvaceti pěti let. Trestná činnost pěti odsouzených byla dokonce kvalifikována za velezradu, možné tresty se tak dotýkaly hranice toho absolutního. Práce se nezaměřuje jen na samotné trestní řízení, jeho analýzu a ozřejmění, byť tyto jsou hlavním jejím cílem, podchyceny jsou též životní osudy odsouzených a jejich rodin, načež celý případ je zasazen do dobového a hlavně regionálního kontextu, a to pro léta 1953 až 1959.

Abstract:

The thesis discusses about the political process with the subversive group "Benedict et al.," which culminated on 23 to 25 March 1953 before the Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem and that resulted in the conviction of fifteen people to prison terms ranging between four and twenty-five years. Criminal activity of five of them was even regarded as treason, possible punishments touched the border of the absolute. The thesis is not focus only on the actual criminal proceedings, its analysis and elucidation, although these are the main aims, captured are also the fates of convicts and their families, then the whole case is set in a contemporary and especially regional context, for the years 1953 - 1959 .
