Cyber Security in payment services and its use in business practice

Abstract:

V současné době mezi hlavní rizika fungování finanční společnosti patří hlavně kybernetická rizika. Zajištění bezpečnosti platebního styku a platebních systémů, které jsou agregátorem osobních dat uživatelů, jejich platebních transakcí a dalších citlivých informací, včetně přístupu k jednotlivým účtům uživatelů, je hlavní podmínkou fungování platebního styku a finančních toků v celé společnosti. Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat platební styk z hlediska jeho bezpečnosti a ochrany proti možným kybernetickým útokům. Dílčím cílem je představit rozbor aktuálních kybernetických hrozeb a jejich dopadu na platební styk. Hlavními metodami použitými v práci jsou především literární rešerše - rozbor aktuálních teoretických poznatků z oblasti kybernetické bezpečnosti a rizik s tím pojených. Dále je použitá metoda syntézy a dedukce, když teoretické poznatky aplikujeme v praktické části práce a konfrontujeme praxi s teorii.

Abstract:

At present, the main risks to the functioning of a financial corporation are mainly cybernetic risks. Ensuring payment security and payment systems, which are an aggregate of users' personal data, payment transactions and other sensitive information, including access to individual user accounts, is a prerequisite for the functioning of payment systems and financial flows throughout the company. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the payment system in terms of its security and protection against possible cyber-attacks. The partial aim is to present an analysis of current cyber threats and their impact on payment systems. The main methods used in the thesis are mainly literary research - an analysis of the current theoretical knowledge from the area of cyber security and related risks. Furthermore, the method of synthesis and deduction is used when applying the theoretical knowledge in the practical part of the thesis and confronting practice with theory.
