Exclusive Urography - Comparison of contemporary possibilities of kidneys and urinary tract imaging in radiology by intravenous urography and CT urography

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vyšetření ledvin a močových cest provedené pomocí intravenózní vylučovací urografie a výpočetní tomografie. Cílem je porovnání těchto dvou modalit z různých parametrů a následné vyhodnocení, která modalita se jeví jako nejvhodnější. Data potřebná ke zhodnocení byla získána ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava. Prvním parametrem byla radiační zátěž, která byla porovnána dle obdržených, průměrných efektivních dávek, které byly vypočítány. Druhým parametrem byla ekonomická stránka. Ta byla hodnocena dle bodového hodnocení a dle finanční náročnosti. Třetím parametrem byl klinický přínos, hodnocen pouze pro rok 2018. V tomto roce, bylo k vyšetření vylučovacího systému indikováno 370 pacientů. Dle provedeného výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že nejvhodnější zobrazovací metodou pro vyšetření vylučovacího systému je výpočetní tomografie.

Abstract:

The focus of the Bachelor´s thesis is the examination of kidneys and urinary tract by means of intravenous excretory urography and computed tomography scan. The aim is the comparison of these two methods from different perspectives and the evaluation of the suitability of individual methods. The data, which were needed for the evaluation, were acquired in the Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava. The first parameter was the radiation dose, which was compared on the basis of the received, average effective doses, which were calculated. The second parameter was the economical perspective. This parameter was evaluated based on the point´s evaluation and on the financial costs. The third parameter was clinical asset based only on the results of the year 2018. In this year 370 patients were examined. According to the research, we have come to conclusion, that the most suitable method for the examination of excretory system is the computed tomography scan.
