Fundraising strategy of a selected type of non-profit organisations in Slovakia

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on fundraising strategies of a selected type of non-governmental non-profit organisations in Slovakia. We are thus reacting to the implemented and anticipated changes in the functioning of the non-profit sector by the current Slovak government since October 2023. The implemented measures aim to limit the funding of certain types of non-profit organizations. We investigate which organizations have been affected by the changes and to what extent. Furthermore, through semi-structured interviews, we identify their fundraising strategies in response to the measures.

Abstract:

V tejto diplomovej práci sa zaoberáme fundraisingovými stratégiami vybraného typu mimovládnych neziskových organizácií na Slovensku. Reagujeme tak na zavedené i avizované zmeny vo fungovaní neziskového sektora, ktoré vykonala súčasná slovenská vláda od októbra 2023. Zavedené opatrenia cielia na obmedzenie financovania určitého typu neziskových organizácií. V práci preto zisťujeme, ktorých organizácií a do akej miery sa zavedené zmeny dotkli. Ďalej pomocou polo-štruktúrovaných rozhovorov identifikujeme ich fundraisingové stratégie v reakcii na opatrenia.
