The Position of Sustainable Development Strategy in Contemporary Execution of European Public Administration

Abstract:

Tématem mojí bakalářské práce bude to, jakou roli zaujímá strategie udržitelného vývoje v soudobém výkonu evropské veřejné správy. Na začátku bude nastíněno, co vlastně tato strategie je, o jaké zásady se opírá a jakých cílů má být dosaženo. Poté bude několik kapitol věnováno vzniku a historickému vývoji strategie udržitelného rozvoje. Řeč bude o nejvýznamnějších konferencích a dokumentech, které na nich byly sepsány, a o zásadách a cílech této strategie, které byly v těchto dokumentech formulovány. Dále se budu věnovat tomu, jak jsou zásady této strategie implementovány do legislativních i nelegislativních dokumentů Evropské unie a jejích členských států. Také porovnám, jak se těmto státům daří nebo nedaří plnit požadavky, které jsou na ně kladeny při prosazování strategie udržitelného rozvoje. Závěrečné dvě kapitoly budou věnovány situaci v České republice.

Abstract:

The topic of my bachelor thesis will be the role of sustainable development strategy in the contemporary execution of European public administration. At the beginning will be outlined what this strategy is about, what principles is based on, and what goals to be achieved. Then, several chapters will be devoted to the origin and historical development of the sustainable development strategy. The talk will be about the most important conferences and documents written at them and about the principles and objectives of this strategy that have been formulated in these documents. I will also look at how the principles of this strategy are implemented in legislative and non-legislative documents of the European Union and its member states. I also compare how these countries are succeeding or failing to meet the demands they have in pursuing a sustainable development strategy. The final two chapters will be devoted to the situation in the Czech Republic.
