Trading in the secondary art market in auction houses in the Czech Republic and Russia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice aukčního obchodování na trhu s uměním na území České republiky a Ruské federace. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na popis historického vývoje trhu s uměním a aukčního obchodu obou zemí ve 20. a 21. století a právní aspekty uměleckého trhu. Analytická část se zabývá průzkumem vybraných aukčních domů v Česku a v Rusku a analýze jejich činnosti na základě informací o proběhlých aukcích ve zkoumaných organizacích. Následně je uvedena komparace úspěšností aukčních domů v obou státech. Praktická část se věnuje současné situaci na trhu s uměním jak v Česku, tak v Rusku, určuje tendence jejich vývoje a definuje hlavní problémy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of auctioning on the art market in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. The theoretical part focuses on the historical development of the art market and the auction trade of both countries in the 20th and 21st centuries and the legal aspects of the art market. The analytical part deals with the survey of selected auction houses in the Czech Republic and Russia and the analysis of their activities based on information about the auctions in the organizations surveyed. Subsequently, a comparison of the progress of auction houses in both countries is displayed. The practical part deals with the current situation on the art market in the Czech Republic and Russia, defines the tendencies of their development and the main problems.
