Accounting of Fixed Assets at the Ministry of Agriculture

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské páce je analýza pravidel účetního zachycování dlouhodobých aktiv Ministerstva zemědělství. Tři teoretické kapitoly postupně rozebírají veřejný sektor se zaměřením na státní správu, úkoly resortu zemědělství a jejich financování, systém výkaznictví účetních jednotek státní správy. Praktická část obsahuje vlastní analýzu, shrnuje hlavní poznatky a upozorňuje na nedostatky, zejména při aplikaci rovnoměrného způsobu odpisování. Vychází z příslušných vnitřních směrnic a z rozhovorů s relevantními osobami.

Abstract:

The thesis aims to analyse the accounting rules of fixed assets as used by the Ministry of Agriculture. Three theoretical chapters deal with the definition of public sector and state administration, the tasks of the department of agriculture and their funding, and finally with the system of financial, budgetary and statistical reports. The practical part contains the analysis itself, summarises main points and draws attention to detected shortcomings, particularly in the application of the straight-line depreciation method. It is primarily based on internal directives and interviews with relevant employees.
