Competitiveness and Efficiency of the Czech Railway on Regional Tracks

Abstract:

Práce na základě rozboru ekonomických údajů a dat podává ucelený pohled na efektivitu a konkurenceschopnost současné české železnice a to i v návaznosti na prováděné a plánované kroky při revitalizaci tohoto dopravního oboru. Zvláštní důraz je pak kladen na regionální tratě. Na základě identifikace a následném rozboru potenciálu je poté provedeno navržení možností vedoucích k zefektivnění provozu a přepravy na konkrétních regionálních železničních tratích s cílem zvýšení jejich konkurenceschopnosti na dopravním trhu.

Abstract:

This work gives complete overview on the efficiency and competitiveness of the current Czech railway on the basis of economic facts and data analysis, also in connection of carried and planned steps during revitalization of this transport field. Special emphasis is then put on regional tracks. On the basis of identification and following analysis of the potential there are suggested possibilities leading to more effective operation and transport on the concrete regional tracks with the aim to increase their competitiveness at the transport market.
