Football expressions in the novels of Karel Poláček and Eduard Bass and their comparison with the contemporary stage.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání fotbalového výraziva, které je obsaženo ve dvou známých českých románech z fotbalového prostředí, a srovnává ho s výrazy dnešními. Teoretická část se zabývá rozvrstvením českého jazyka, v němž se zaměřuje na slang, převážně sportovní. Dále se věnuje oběma zkoumaným románům (Muži v offsidu, Klapzubova jedenáctka) a jejich autorům. Výzkumná část se věnuje samotným výrazům, sleduje jejich porozumění a srovnává s výrazy používanými dnes.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the examination of the football terms, which are contained in two well-known Czech novels from the football setting and compares it with nowadays terms. The theoretical part deals with the layering of the Czech language, mainly on slang layer, mostly sports. It also deals with both novels (Muži v offsidu, Klapzubova jedenáctka) and their authors. The research part is focused on the actual slang terms, examine their understanding and compares it with expressions used nowadays.
