The relation between the actor and the audience as the way how to interpret the meaning of the labour for young people during the 20th century in the Trilogy of the Youth/La Trilogía de la Juventud (1999-2002)

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is one of the most popular dramas interpreted by an alternative Madrid´s theatre - Cuarta Pared (The Fourth Wall). Trilogía de la Juventud (Trilogy of the Youth) was interpreted in 1999, 2001 and 2002 and made this theatre company more famous. The authors try to pick up the characteristic of the young people of the 40´s, 70´s and the last years of the 20th century. The three parts have some similarities as for example work, problems with finding a job and failures of all the characters influenced by their age and the period they live in. With help of these similarities the authors try to make the audience realize that our parents and grandparents are not different from us in spite of the existing generation gap, on the contrary, we all are very similar and so we should think about our parents, learn from their mistakes and take an example by them. During the performance the actors appeal to the audience, changing the time line try to come close and establish contact with them to make them notice about all the ideas expressed by Trilogy of the Youth.

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské diplomové práce je jedna z nejúspěšnějších her alternativního madridského divadla Cuarta Pared (Čtvrtá stěna). Trilogía de la Juventud (Trilogie mladých) byla touto divadelní společností uvedena v letech 1999, 2001 a 2002 a přispěla k tomu, že se tato společnost dostala do povědomí širšího okruhu diváků. Autoři se pokoušejí zachytit charakteristiky mladých lidí ze 40., 70. a posledních let 20. století. Všechny tři hry mají společná témata jako práce, problémy se zařazením se do pracovního procesu a první neúspěchy ovlivněné jak jejich věkem, tak dobou, ve které žijí. Těmito společnými tématy nám chtějí autoři ukázat, že naši rodiče a prarodiče nám nejsou generačními rozdíly vzdáleni, nýbrž jsme si všichni velmi podobní a proto bychom se nad generacemi našich předků měli zamyslet, poučit se, případně si z nich vzít příklad. Aby si to všechno diváci lépe uvědomili, herci se v průběhu představení na ně obracejí, změnou časových úrovní se snaží k nim přiblížit a vytvořit tak kontakt s publikem, který usnadní přenesení hlavních myšlenek Trilogie.
