Commented Translation of V. Voinovich’s Novel Monumentalnaya Propaganda
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá překladem románu Vladimira Vojnoviče Monumentalnaja propaganda (2000). Kromě překladu vybraných částí obsahuje práce také komentář k vybraným překladatelským problémům a postupům spojených se satirou jako specifickým žánrem a zařazuje román do širšího literárního a socio-kulturního kontextu.
Abstract:
This thesis is concerned with a commented translation of Vladimir Voinovich’s novel Monumentalnaya propaganda (2000). It includes the translation of selected parts and commentary on certain problems and strategies with regards to translations connected with the satire as a specific genre; it is also defining the genre and socio-cultural context of the novel.
