Interlingual interference - peculiarities in communication of Russians living in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Z historického hlediska mají čeština a ruština své kořeny ve stejném jazykovém společenství starých Slovanů, kteří mluvili praslovanštinou. Vzhledem k tomu, číhají na cestě k osvojení a výuce ruského jazyka pro českého studenta některá úskalí, která jsou opodstatněna právě genetickou příbuzností ruského a českého jazyka. Proto bakalářská práce definuje jevy jako jazyková interference a bilingvismus, dává jejich obecnou typologii, uvádí příčiny vzniku těchto jevů a radí, jak lze interferenci jako jevu negativnímu předcházet. Bilingvismus je chápán autorem jako jev pozitivní, avšak jelikož jsou brány v potaz různé názory lingvistů na dvojjazyčnost, jsou v bakalářské práci prozkoumány jeho kladné i záporné vlivy. Kromě jazykových kontaktů je v práci zmapována migrace rusky mluvícího obyvatelstva na území České Republiky z historického hlediska i z hlediska nynější situace. Je poukázáno na některé zvláštnosti v jejich komunikaci a na příčiny těchto zvláštností. Význam bakalářské práce spočívá v přiblížení problematiky výuky cizího jazyka. Na konkrétních příkladech se poukazuje na některá úskalí ruštiny a zmiňují se rady, jak předcházet negativních jazykových vlivů.

Abstract:

From the historical point of view the Czech and the Russian languages have their roots in the same language community of the early Slavs who spoke Proto Slavic. In view of this fact there are certain difficulties for a Czech student on the way to learning the Russian language. Their origin could be explained by the genetic kinship of Russian and Czech. This bachelor thesis defines occurences as the language interference and bilingualism, presents their common typology, shows the causes of their inception and proposes the advice how to prevent the interference as a negative phenomenon. Bilingualism is understood by the author as a positive effect, but taking into consideration the contradictory opinions of different specialists the author tried to pay special attention to the positive and negative influence of the above-mentioned question. Apart from the language contacts this work surveys the migration of the Russian- speaking population to the territory of the Czech Republic from the point of view both the historic situation as well as current events. The work points out certain peculiarities in their communication together with the roots of these peculiarities. The meaning of this bachelor thesis zooms on certain problems in teaching foreign languages. A row of concrete examples shows some problems of the Russian language and tries to elucidate the ways how to get rid of the negative language influences.
