Burnout syndrome among employees of IT companies X and Y during the coronavirus pandemic

Abstract:

Cílem práce je analýza syndromu vyhoření u IT zaměstnanců ve firmách X a Y a jeho vliv na fluktuaci. Nejhorší je situace ve firmě X, kde jsou lidé negativně motivováni kvýkonu své práce. Vznik syndromu vyhoření je u firmy X velice pravděpodobný. Za jednu z kořenových příčin vzniku syndromu vyhoření ve firmě X je možné považovat neschopnost manažerů zajistit prevenci vzniku syndromu vyhoření. Situace v podniku Y je daleko lepší. Na druhou stranu zde velmi vysoké procento lidí prohlíží nabídky práce v obou firmách. Lze to ale vysvětlit zájmem pracovníků o celkovou situaci na trhu práce. Na konci práce byly nadefinovány následující návrhy: provést šetření a nalézt jiné příčiny vzniku syndromu vyhoření u zaměstnanců firmy X, provést zaškolení manažerů ve firmě X v oblasti prevence syndromu vyhoření, provést zaškolení manažerů ve firmě Y v oblasti posílení loajalitě vůči firmě, zamýšlet se nad zavedením motivačních faktorů posilujících loajalitu a zajištění fyzické aktivity během pracovního dne.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the burnout syndrome among IT employees in companies X and Y and its effect on fluctuation. The worst is the situation in company X, where people are negatively motivated to perform their work. The occurrence of burnout syndrome is very likely at company X. One of the root causes of burnout in company X can be considered the inability of managers to ensure the prevention of burnout. The situation in company Y is much better. On the other hand, a very high percentage of people here view job offers in both companies. But it can be explained by the workers' interest in the overall situation on the labor market. At the end of the work, the following proposals were defined: conduct an investigation and find other causes of burnout syndrome among employees of company X, conduct training for managers in company X in the field of prevention of burnout syndrome, conduct training for managers in the company Y in the field of strengthening loyalty to the company, think about introducing motivational factors that strengthen loyalty and ensuring physical activity during the working day.
