Creativity of primary school teaching students

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo zjistit úroveň tvořivosti studentů oboru „Učitelství pro 1. stupeň základní školy“ a vytvořit implicitní teorii tvořivosti těchto studentů učitelství. V teoretické části této práce jsme se zabývali každodenní tvořivostí a tvořivostí ve školní prostředí, kde jsme pojednali témata pedagogická tvořivost, tvořivý učitel, tvořivý žák a tvořivé vyučování. Potom jsme si shrnuli základní informace z teoretické části a připravili definice a výčty jednotlivých pojmů z explicitní teorie pro srovnání s námi vytvořenou implicitní teorií. V empirické části jsme popsali námi realizovanou výzkumnou studii na studentech oboru „Učitelství pro 1. stupeň základní školy“. Sběr dat byl proveden na studentech 1. a 2. ročníku výše uvedeného oboru. Ve výzkumné studii jsme použili Urbanův figurální test tvořivosti (pro diagnostiku figurální tvořivosti), subtest Věty z AIT (pro diagnostiku verbální tvořivosti), dotazník „Do jaké míry jste tvořivý?“ (pro zmapování toho, jak studenti učitelství vnímají míru vlastní tvořivosti) a námi vytvořenou anketu sestavenou ze 14 otevřených otázek na téma tvořivost a tvořivá škola (pro vytvoření implicitní teorie a porovnání kategorií, které jsme z odpovědí na otevřené otázky vytvořili). V této anketě jsme se navíc dotazovali respondentů na vzdělání jejich rodičů a na ročník a město kde studují. Odpovědi na otázky z ankety jsme si rozčlenili do kategorií a tyto vzniklé kategorie jsme potom porovnali s výsledky testů pro zjištění sebeposouzení vlastní tvořivosti, verbální tvořivosti a figurální tvořivosti. Porovnali jsme respondenty také podle vzdělání jejich rodičů, podle města ve kterém studují a podle ročníku studia. Porovnali jsme výsledky respondentů s normami Urbanova figurálního testu tvořivého myšlení a zjistili jsme, že jsou statisticky významně nadprůměrně tvořivým vzorkem. Porovnali jsme studenty z 1. ročníků brněnské a olomoucké pedagogické fakulty a zjistili jsme, že studenti z brněnské pedagogické fakulty jsou staticky významně tvořivější. Porovnali jsme výsledky v testech tvořivosti v závislosti na uvedeném vzdělání rodičů a zjistili jsme, že nejlepších výsledků dosáhli respondenti, jejichž rodiče jsou vysokoškolsky vzdělaní. Porovnali jsme vzniklou implicitní teorii tvořivosti s explicitními a zjistili jsme, že se nijak zásadně neliší.

Abstract:

This thesis objective is to determine the level of "Master of Primary Education" students creativity and to construct an implicit theory of these students creativity. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with everyday creativity and school environment creativity where we mostly focus on pedagogical creativity, creative teacher, creative pupil and and creative method of teaching. Finally we summarize the basic information from theoretical part, prepare definitions and lists of terms from the explicit theory, which we compare with self-created implicit theories. In the empirical part we describe our research study on "Master of Primary Education" students. Data collection was performed on students of 1st and 2nd year of the aforementioned field. In the research study, we use Urban's figural test of creativity (for diagnostics figural creativity), subtest Sentences of AIT (for diagnostics verbal creativity), questionnaire "To what extent are you creative?" (For tracking how future primary school teachers perceive the extent of self-creativity) and we form a poll containing 14 open questions on the topic of creativity and creative school (to construct implicit theories and compare the categories that we created from answers to these open questions). In this poll, we are also interested in respondent's background - the level of their parents education, the place and the year they study. We segment the answers to the questions into categories. Incurred categories are compared with results of tests to find out their own self-assessment of creativity, verbal creativity and figural creativity. We compared the participants answers according to their parents education background, their university location and their grade. In addition, we compared the results with Urban figural test of creative thinking respondents and we found that they were significantly above-average with creative pattern. The 1st year students of the Brno and Olomouc faculties of education have been compared, resulting in a statistical evidence that students from the Brno faculty are more creative. Another output of this comparison is that those students of highly-educated parents are more likely to achieve better results. We compared the arisen implicit theory of creativity with explicit one and we found out it is not fundamentally different.
