The figure of Peter Pan, body or spirit?

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on topics of Gnosticism, Quantum physics, romanticism and the figure of Peter Pan in the novel Peter Pan. Peter Pan is considered to this date as a fairytale, which is mainly aimed for children and teenagers. The goal of this work is to explore and explain hidden symbols and show how we can explain the figure of Peter Pan through various elements. I will also analyze the theme of imagination and its importance in our world. This thesis should show that the book is no fairytale and that Peter Pan isn't a simple human, nor just a body or a plain spirit.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem gnosticismu, kvantové fyziky a osoby Petra Pana v knize Petra Pana. Petr Pan je dodnes považován za pohádku, která je určená především pro děti a dospívající. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat a vysvětlit skryté symboly a ukázat v knize prvky gnosticismu i jiných přístupů s možností vysvětlit postavu Pana. Dále zanalyzuji téma představivosti a její důležitost v dnešním světě. Práce by měla osvětlit, že kniha není žádnou pohádkou, a že Petr Pan není člověkem, ani duchem.
