This work presents a review of the developement of the theories of etnicity, defines the theory of Fredrik Barth and focuses on the work of Rogerse Brubaker. Brubacker´s theories are fundamental for our work, especially the theories which revise basic sociological categories such as group, nation, etnicity, ethnic group.
