The literary analysis of Pavla Jazairi´s travel books

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou knižně vydaných cestopisných reportáží a cestopisných rozhlasových reportáží Pavly Jazairiové. V úvodu práce je představena autorka a její dosavadní dílo. První část práce se zabývá teoretickými východisky. Pozornost je věnována cestopisu, reportáži a historii a metodám rozhlasové práce. Druhá část obsahuje analýzu vybraných audio nahrávek rozhlasových cestopisných reportáží autorky a jejich konfrontaci s knižně zpracovanými cestopisy. Důraz je kladen na kompozici a formální i obsahovou stránku analyzovaných materiálů. Dalšími zkoumanými aspekty jsou postavy, klíčová témata a motivy, vypravěč a jazyk a styl. V rámci audio nahrávek je zkoumán také zvuk.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a literary analysis of selected travel books and radio reports of Pavla Jazairi. At the beginning, the author and her previous works are presented. The first part of the thesis concentrates on the theoretical basis. Attention is paid to the theory of travel books, reports and history and methods of the radio work. The second part contains the analysis of selected audio records of the author´s radio travel reports and their confrontation with travel books. The analysis focuses on formal composition and content of studied materials. Other examined aspects are characters, key themes and motifs, narrator and language and style. The study of audio records also contains the study of sound characteristics.
