The diploma thesis examines detective novels by Slovak writer Dominik Dán and Norwegian writer Jo Nesbo. After the theoretical defying of the detective fiction, the thesis is focused on the comparison of the works of these two contemporary popular literary men. Diplomová práca skúma detektívne romány, autormi ktorých sú slovenský spisovateľ Dominik Dán a nórsky spisovateľ Jo Nesbo. Po teoretickom vymedzení detektívky je práca zameraná na komparáciu diel týchto dvoch súčasných populárnych literátov.
