Avifauna of wetlands of the Hvozdnice NR

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce byla vytvořena s cílem zjistit kvantitativní a kvalitativní zastoupení avifauny v rákosinách Slavkovského rybníka a mokřadu u Jankova rybníka během hnízdní sezóny roku 2018. Oba biotopy jsou tvořeny pestrým vegetačním krytem, který poskytuje příznivé podmínky pro reprodukci, hnízdění i nocování mokřadních a vodních druhů ptáků. Rozloha obou stanovišť činí 5,52 hektarů. Pro monitoring byla použita metoda sčítání hnízdních okrsků užívaná v území již při inventarizačních průzkumech. Při přechodu mezi zájmovými stanovišti byl prováděn akustický monitoring teritoriálně se projevujících ptáků a též hladinová pozorování pro monitoring potápek či vrubozobých. Doplňkově pak byla zjišťována také jakost vody v místních rybnících, potenciální zdroje znečištění a všeobecné negativní faktory ohrožující oblast. Celkově bylo na území rezervace zjištěno 52 druhů ptáků, z toho 34 druhů hnízdících. Během monitoringu bylo na území mokřadu a rákosin PR Hvozdnice prokázáno 10 chráněných druhů ptáků, z nichž sedm v území hnízdí. Mezi nejvýznamnější hnízdící druhy na území rezervace patří bukáček malý (Ixobrychus minutus) a chřástal vodní (Rallus aquaticus). Celkově hnízdilo na vymezeném území devět párů zvláště chráněných vodních a mokřadních druhů ptáků. Mimo zvláště chráněnou mokřadní a vodní avifaunu byla na území rezervace prokázána také hlasová aktivita žluvy hajní (Oriolus oriolus), která patří rovněž mezi zvláště chráněné druhy.

Abstract:

The main goal of my bachelor thesis was apprasial of qualitative and quantitative representation of avifauna connected its occurence with the reed bed of Slavkov's pond and the wetland by Janek's pond during the nesting season in 2018. Both biotopes are made up of varied vegetation cover what provides favourable conditions for reproduction, nesting and overnighting of aquatic bird species. The area of both biotopes reaches about 5.52 hectares. As monitoring method was used the Territory Mapping method. The main reason for selection of this method was its choosing by previous inventories of bird species there. During the crossing between localities of interest there was carried out acoustic monitoring of bird species with a territorial voice activity as well as water surface observation for monitoring of Podicipediformes or Anseriformes. During the monitoring there was proved the occurence of 10 rare bird species of which seven are nesting in Hvozdnice NR. The most significant species are represented by the little bittern (Ixobrychus minutus) and the water rail (Rallus aquaticus). The population of especially endangered bird species was an estimated nine nest pairs. Except for the endangered aquatic avifauna there was determined a territorial activity of endangered the Eurasian golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus). Totally there were determined about 52 bird species of which 34 nestling ones. The total number of bird species nesting in Hvozdnice NR equals 170. As a complement of the main monitoring there was determined the water quality, potential sources of pollution and general negative factors endangering the area of Hvozdnice NR.
