Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou rétoriky súčasného čínskeho prezidenta a generálneho tajomníka Komunistickej strany Xi Jinpinga. Pomocou metodologického prístupu "kritickej analýzy metafor" navrhnutého Charteris-Blackom sú analyzované prejavy Xi Jinpinga ku konceptu "čínskeho sna". This thesis analyses the rhetoric of the current Chairman of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping, specifically his speeches on the Chinese Dream. Rhetoric of political leaders has been a subject of a considerable body of research, aiming at the content being communicated as well as strategies employed in the process.
