Awareness of the primary school students about AIDS problems and preventive program against AIDS

Abstract:

Teoretická část práce se zabývá historií onemocnění AIDS, imunitním systémem, způsoby přenosu viru HIV a jeho vývojovými stádii, léčbou infekce HIV a AIDS a v neposlední řadě se zabývá prevencí a zařazením prevence nemoci AIDS do školní Výchovy ke zdraví. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky průzkumu znalostí žáků o HIV/AIDS. Průzkum probíhal na třech základních školách v Rakovníku. Byly vytvořeny dva výzkumné soubory. První soubor tvořili žáci 4. - 6. ročníků a druhý žáci 7. - 9. ročníků. Komparace výsledků mezi oběma soubory byla provedena ?2- testem. Na pomoc učitelům základních škol byly na základě výsledků průzkumu vytvořeny pracovní listy s problematikou HIV/AIDS. Prvních 8 listů je navrženo pro žáky 4. - 6. ročníků, dalších 8 listů pro žáky 7. - 9. ročníků. Soubor pracovních listů byl hodnocen vyučujícími jako vhodný pro výuku prevence.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the dissertation work deals with the history of disease AIDS, immune system, the ways of transmission of a virus HIV and his developmental stadium, medical treatment of the infection HIV and AIDS ? and of course prevention and inclusion of the prevention of AIDS in school education to the health. Practical part contains results of research of pupils´ knowledge of HIV/AIDS. The research was made in three Elementary Schools in Rakovnik. Two research assemblages were created. The first assemblage was created by the schoolchildren from 4th to 6th classes and the other was created by the schoolchildren from 7th to 9thh classes. The comparison of the results between both groups was made with ?2- test. The work lists with the problems of HIV/AIDS was originated on the basis of the results of the research focused on the help to teachers. The first 8 lists were proposed for the pupils from 4th to 6th classes, the other 8 lists for the schoolchildren from 7th to 9th classes. The complex of the work lists was evaluated by teachers as suitable for the prevention education.
