Peer workers as a part of interdisciplinary cooperation in the mental health care system

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem peer pracovníků v systému péče o duševní zdraví a tématem přínosů a limitů jejich zapojování do interdisciplinární spolupráce v kontextu sociálních služeb věnujících se poskytování péče lidem s duševním onemocněním. Cílem práce je na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s peer pracovníky a jejich kolegy dvou sociálních služeb věnujících se péči o lidi s duševním onemocněním porozumět skrze role peer pracovníků jejich zapojení do interdisciplinární spolupráce. Dále také přinést subjektivní výpovědi peer pracovníků a jejich kolegů o přínosech a limitech, které s sebou zapojení peer pracovníků podle nich do systému péče o duševní zdraví přináší. Výzkumná část práce byla provedena na základě kvalitativní strategie ve dvou sociálních službách, které se věnovaly poskytování péče lidem s duševním onemocněním, zaměstnávaly peer pracovníka(y) a podle složení týmu se jevily jako interdisciplinárně spolupracující.

Abstract:

This thesis is aimed at the topic of peer workers in the mental health care system and the topic of benefits and limits of their involvement in interdisciplinary cooperation in context of social services dedicated to providing care to people with mental illnesses. The goal of this work which is based on semi-structured interviews with peer workers and their colleagues from two institutes of social services dedicated to care about people with mental illnesses is to understand the engagement of peer workers in interdisciplinary cooperation through their roles. The aim of this work is also to present a subjective peer workers´ and their colleagues´ point of view on the benefits and limits which are related with the engagement of peer workers in the system of care about mental health. The research part of the work was realized on the basis of qualitative strategy in two institutes of social services which are providing care to people with mental illnesses where peer workers were employed and according to the composition of the team seemed to be interdisciplinary cooperating.
