Use of Plants of the Lamiaceae Family in Teaching (not only) Chemistry in Elementary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na využití rostlin z čeledi hluchavkovité při výuce na základní škole. Teoretická část práce se zabývá historií lidového léčitelství, důležitými obsahovými látkami, které jsou nositeli terapeutických účinků rostlin, dále sběrem bylin či jejich částí, konzervací a lékovými formami. Důleži-tá je pak kapitola o rostlinách z čeledi hluchavkovité a jejích vybraných rodech, které jsou využívány v praktické části práce. Praktická část práce je tvořena návrhem integrovaného výukového programu, jehož snahou je seznámení žáků s nejznámějšími zástupci rostlin z čeledi hluchavkovité v rámci pěti předmětů, pomocí různých výukových metod. Součástí práce jsou dvě přílohy – Karty bylin a Pra-covní listy, s nimiž žáci v programu pracují, a v praktické části práce je jejich správné či možné řešení.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the use of plants of the Lamiaceae family in teaching in elementary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history of folk medi-cine, important compounds that carry the therapeutic effects of plants, as well as the collection of herbs or their parts, preservation and pharmaceutical forms. The chapter about plants from the Lamiaceae family and its selected genera, which are used in the practical part of the thesis, is important. The practical part of the thesis consists of the design of an integrated teaching program, which seeks to acquaint students with the most popular representatives of plants of the Lamiaceae family in five sub-jects, using various teaching methods. The thesis includes two attach-ments – Cards of herbs and Worksheets that students work with in the program, and in the practical part of the thesis are their correct or possible solutions.
