Cosmeceuticals and their Influence on the Skin

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá působením kosmetického gelu obsahujícího kosmeceutikum Argireline na pokožku v periorbitální oblasti a schopností této formulace redukovat vrásky. Studie byla provedena na 25 probandkách v průměrném věku 50 let, kterým byla měřena hloubka vrásek po 4 týdenní aplikaci (2 x denně) formulací s Argirelinem o dvou rozdílných koncentracích, a to 12,5 a 5 %. Byl zjišťován jednak samotný účinek kosmeceutika na pokožku, ale také vliv rozdílných koncentrací na její výsledný stav. Studie byla provedena pomocí přístroje Skin Visiometer SV 700, který pracuje na principu nepřímého fotometrického hodnocení otisku kůže, zhotoveném ve speciálním modrém silikonu. Z výsledků studie vyplynulo, že Argireline má pozitivní efekt na zmenšení hloubky vrásek.

Abstract:

The master thesis is dealing with the effect of the cosmetic gel containing cosmeceutical Argireline on the skin in the periorbital area, and with the ability of this formulation to reduce wrinkles. The study was conducted on 25 volunteers at an average age of 50 years whose wrinkle depth was measured after 4 weeks of administration (twice daily) of Argireline at two different concentrations of 12,5 and 5%. The study was performed using the Skin Viscometer SV 700, which operates on the principle of indirect photometric evaluation of the skin replica in a special blue silicone. The results of the study showed that Argireline has a positive effect on reduction of wrinkle depth
