Presentation and communication skills of manager in the selected company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá prezentačními a komunikačními dovednostmi manažera ve firmě Česká spořitelna, a.s. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoreticko-metodologické a do části aplikační. První část obsahuje teoretické informace o roli manažera v podniku, dále se zabývá pojmem komunikace, jejím dělením a komunikačními dovednostmi, které jsou pro tuto práci stěžejní. Dalším pojmem jsou prezentační dovednosti, dělení, struktura a příprava prezentace a její uplatnění v manažerské praxi. V práci jsou poté formulovány výzkumné otázky a popsána metodika použitá pro zodpovězení těchto otázek. Druhá, aplikační část, nejdříve charakterizuje vybranou společnost a blíže představuje konkrétní pozici manažera. Dále jsou prezentovány výsledky dotazníkového šetření, včetně grafů a komentářů. Závěr práce obsahuje diskusi výsledků a jsou předloženy návrhy opatření, které by mohly zlepšit stávající situaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on presentation and communication skills of a manager at Česká spořitelna, a.s. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and applied. The first part contains of theoretical information regarding manager’s role in a company, the term and types of communication, and communication skills as the key requirement of this job. Another discussed term is presentation skills, the structure and preparation of presentation and its use in the managerial profession. The thesis defines research questions and describes the methodology used to answer those questions. The second, applied, part of the thesis focuses on the chosen company and more closely defines the specific job of a manager. It as well presents the research results, including graphs and commentaries. The conclusion of the thesis discusses the presented results and proposes options of improving the current situation.
