This bachelor thesis deals with the private correspondence of the German writer and painter Wolfgang Hildesheimer. The carried-out analysis offers translation possibilities of problematic phrases, and the aim of this thesis is to find out, whether speech games, typical of his literary work, are also present in his private correspondence. Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá soukromou korespondencí německé-ho spisovatele a malíře Wolfganga Hildesheimera. Provedená analýza nabízí možnosti překladu problematických frází, přičemž cílem této práce je zjistit, zda je hra se slovy, typická pro jeho literární tvorbu, přítomna právě i v jeho sou-kromé korespondenci.
