Influence of vehicle resistance calculation on train running time

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vozidlovými odpory, které jsou v prostředí české železnice definovány a počítány dle předpisu, který nebyl posledních 30 let aktualizován, a tedy nereflektuje technický pokrok. Cílem projektu je utvoření celkového přehledu o způsobu, jak byly vozidlové odpory počítány v minulosti a jak se měnily s aktualizací zmíněného předpisu. Další část práce pak zkoumá, jaký dopad mají případné nové změny na výpočet jízdních dob a další aspekty. Vedle zpřesnění výpočtu jízdních dob, který má přínos pro provozovatele dráhy, ovlivňují vozidlové odpory i výpočty technických normativů zátěže a energie. Jejich zpřesnění pak může mít přínos pro dopravce.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the issue of vehicle resistances, which are defined and calculated in the Czech railway ambit according to a regulation that has not been updated for the last 30 years, and therefore does not reflect technical progress. The aim of the project is to create an overall overview of how vehicle resistances were calculated in the past and how they changed with the update of the mentioned regulation. The next part of the work examines the impact of any new changes on the calculation of travel times and other aspects, not only shortening theoretical travel times, but also better traffic planning, use of track capacity and increased traffic stability, thanks to more accurate calculations.
