Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá pozíciou banky na bankovom trhu. V prvej kapitole sa venujeme dejinám bankovníctva, ich stručnému vývoju. Objasníme si základné funkcie banky, ako aj jej základné činnosti. V krátkosti si charakterizujeme banku, ako podniktateľský subjekt, a bankový systém na Slovensku.
