Diplomová práce se zabývá českými překlady anglických námořnických pracovních písní z devatenáctého století, tzv. sea shanties. The diploma thesis focuses on the transaliton of sea shanties, a nineteenth century English-language sailor's work songs. It discusses mainly the changes that the texts undergone when adopted from a maritime country's culture to a landlocked country's culture, the reasons for adoption of the texts, the historical periods in which sea shanties were adopted and the people, who translated these songs …more
