Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na hirudoterapii, což je alternativní léčebná metoda využívající léčebné pijavice, a na úroveň informovanosti široké veřejnosti o této metodě. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké jsou znalosti a povědomí veřejnosti o hirudoterapii. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části je prezentován ucelený přehled historie hirudoterapie od starověkých civilizací až po moderní medicínu. Je analyzováno biochemické složení pijavic, které obsahuje řadu bioaktivních látek, jako jsou antikoagulanty, antimikrobiální a protizánětlivé látky, jež přispívají k terapeutické účinnosti této metody. Teoretická část také zahrnuje klinické indikace hirudoterapie, které pokrývají široké spektrum aplikací od léčby hypertenze a bolesti až po dermatologické onemocnění, stejně jako kontraindikace a možné vedlejší účinky. Praktická část se soustředí na průzkum informovanosti veřejnosti o hirudoterapii, který byl realizován formou dotazníkového šetření v Krajské zdravotní nemocnici v Teplicích na úrazové chirurgii. Výsledky průzkumu ukázaly, že většina respondentů již o hirudoterapii slyšela a hodnotí ji pozitivně. Průzkum rovněž naznačil, že hirudoterapie může mít pozitivní vliv na zdraví pacientů, i když názory na její účinnost se liší. Díky této práci byly formulovány závěry a doporučení pro další průzkum a praxi v oblasti hirudoterapie. Výsledky průzkumu byly analyzovány a prezentovány formou grafů a tabulek, které poskytují přehled o informovanosti a zkušenostech respondentů s touto léčebnou metodou. Závěry zdůrazňují potřebu další edukace veřejnosti a zdravotnického personálu o výhodách a potenciálních rizicích hirudoterapie, čímž se otevírají nové možnosti pro její širší uplatnění v lékařské praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on hirudotherapy, which is an alternative treatment method using medicinal leeches, and the level of awareness of this method among the general public. The aim of the work is to find out what the knowledge and awareness of the public is about hirudotherapy. The work is divided into two main parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, a comprehensive overview of the history of hirudotherapy from ancient civilizations to modern medicine is presented. The biochemical composition of leeches is analyzed, which contains a number of bioactive substances, such as anticoagulants, antimicrobials and anti-inflammatory substances, which contribute to the therapeutic effectiveness of this method. The theoretical part also includes the clinical indications of hirudotherapy, which cover a wide range of applications from the treatment of hypertension and pain to dermatological diseases, as well as contraindications and possible side effects. The practical part focuses on the survey of the public's awareness of hirudotherapy, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey at the Regional Health Hospital in Teplice for trauma surgery. The results of the survey showed that the majority of respondents have already heard about hirudotherapy and evaluate it positively. The survey also suggested that hirudotherapy can have a positive effect on patients' health, although opinions on its effectiveness differ. Thanks to this work, conclusions and recommendations for further research and practice in the field of hirudotherapy were formulated. The results of the survey were analyzed and presented in the form of graphs and tables, which provide an overview of the respondents' awareness and experience with this treatment method. The conclusions emphasize the need for further education of the public and medical personnel about the benefits and potential risks of hirudotherapy, thereby opening up new possibilities for its wider application in medical practice.
