English Adverbial Clauses
Abstract:
The diploma thesis provides a linguistic description of English adverbial clauses and their semantic and syntactic classification. The analysis of four chosen texts is performed to establish the frequency of occurrence of adverbial clauses in different functional styles.
Abstract:
Základem práce je lingvistický popis anglických adverbiálních vět a jejich syntactická a sémantická klasifikace. Takto stanovený terminologický a klasifikační aparát je použit pro praktickou analýzu. Zkoumají se texty charakteristických funkčních stylů a porovnává frekvence adverbiálních vět obecně, jakož i frekvence jednotlivých sémantických typů adverbiálních vět.
