The impact of fiscal policy on the real estate market through a DSGE model with heterogeneous households

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje dlouhodobým dopadům fiskální politiky na daňový výnos vlády a blahobyt tří heterogenních typů domácností v české ekonomice pomocí dynamického stochastického modelu všeobecné rovnováhy. V úvodních kapitolách je představeno ekonomické pozadí řešeného problému, literární rešerše a metodologie. Finální kapitola zkoumá dopady vybraných fiskálních scénářů na daňový výnos a blahobyt domácností, vliv parametrů modelu na zmíněné dopady a citlivostní analýzu vybraných parametrů modelu.

Abstract:

This thesis uses a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model to address the long-term impacts of fiscal policy on government tax revenue and the welfare of three heterogeneous household types in the Czech economy. The introductory chapters provide an overview of the economic background of the problem, literature review, and methodology. The final chapter examines the effects of selected fiscal scenarios on tax revenue and household welfare, the influence of model parameters on these effects, and the sensitivity analysis of selected model parameters.
