Secular trends of motor performace of the youth in the 20th and 21st century (meta-analysis)

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce na téma: „Sekulární trendy motorické výkonnosti mládeže ve 20. a 21. století (meta – analýza)“, je rozdělena do dvou částí, těmi jsou teoretická část a praktická část. Úvod teoretické části se zaměřuje především na vysvětlení pojmů názvu bakalářské práce a opírá se o složitý vstup mládeže do sportu, zohledňuje rodinné zázemí, psychické a fyzické dysfunkce a nelehkou situaci nepříliš zdatných jedinců v hodinách tělesné výchovy. Dále jsou v teoretické části popsány dostupné informace o problematice a stručný rejstřík prací zaměřených na podobné téma (rešerše zdrojů).V následné praktické části se zaměřuje převážně na sběr informací ze zapůjčených publikací a získávání nových informací na školách v Jičínském okrese. Následně jsou informace porovnávány se získanou dokumentací let minulých. Hlavním cílem práce je přispět novými daty k rozšíření poznatků o úrovni tělesného rozvoje a pohybové výkonnosti u reprezentativního souboru populace ve věku od 7 do 18 roků a porovnat získané charakteristiky s výsledky podobně zaměřeného sledování s časovým odstupem několika desítek let. Jak je již patrné z názvu práce v závěru se píše o výsledcích porovnávání. Zda je možné hypotézu úpadku motorické výkonnosti mládeže vyvrátit, či potvrdit a tím zároveň potvrdit onu nelichotivou statistiku o snižování motorické výkonnosti dnešní mládeže v porovnání s výkonností mládeže z let minulých.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis: “The secular motorial trends in the level of physical abilities of the youths in 20th and 21st century (meta-analysis)”, is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses mostly on explaining the technical terms contained in the title of this thesis and refers to the difficult entry of the youths into sports - taking into account the family background, possible psychological or physical dysfunctions and the uneasy situation of the not physically talented individuals in the physical education classes. Further, available information about the problematic is described and a concise list of other papers on a similar topic is mentioned.The practical part of the thesis focuses on analyzing information from literature and collecting data from various schools in the Jicin County. This data is then confronted with information from the publications. The main objective of the thesis is to contribute with new data to the problematic and to helpo extend the current knowledge about the level of physical and motion development of children aged 7 – 18 years. Also it compares the new data with results of similarly oriented observations with the standoff of several dozen years.As the title indicates, the end of the thesis is focused on comparing the results with other similar publications written in the past. It also answers the question whether the hypothesis about the decline of motorial physical performance can be proved or disproved and therefore whether the statistics about the decreasing physical ability of today’s youths is correct or not.
