Celkovýpoĉetstran: 52 Cílemtétobakalářsképráce je zjistitúroveňznalosticizíhojazykuzaměstnanců a vrcholnéhovedeníhotelů v Praze, ĈeskáRepublika.Dálšímcílem je zjištění, jakýmzpůsobemjazykovékompetencezaměstnanců a vrcholovéhomanagementupříspívají k vybudovánísilnéhotýmu a dosáţenídobrýchvýsledkůvesvépráci.Z důvodurůznorodépovahyodvětvípohostinství, nenísnadnépřesnědefinovat, jakédovednosti a kompetence pro správupohostinství absolvent můţepotřebovat.Základníkompetence v oblastipohostinství se z praktickéhohlediskališíodkompetencívevzdělávacíchinstitucích. Zaměstnanci a několikmanaţerskýchskupinodpovídalinaotázku "Jakéznalostipovaţujetezanepovinné?" a odpovědi se s ĉasemměnily. Kroměpraktických, technických, marketingových a manaţerskýchznalostí, v posledníchletechnáleţitápozornostbylavěnovánakomunikaĉnímdovednostem v přímémkontaktumezihoteliérem a hostem.Zapomocíkvantitativních a kvalitativníchúdajů se danáprácezáměřujenazijštěnívnímáníhotelovýchzaměstnancůjakoskupiny, a co povaţujihotelovémanaţeřizadůleţitostrůznýchjázyků. Dotazníkovášetřeníjsoupouţíty pro sběrdatod 41 hotelovýchmanaţerů a 59hotelovýchzaměstnanců.Běhemtohotovýzkumudvěhypotézybudoubuďschválenénebone. Hypotézyjsouformulovanénásledovně: 1. Znalostanglickéhojazyku je jednou z nejdůleţitějšíchschopností pro zaměstnancepraţskýchhotelů. 2. Zaměstnance s vysokoškolskýmtitulem v oboruhotelnictvíjsoukompetentnějšíneţjejichkolegovékterémajítituly v jinýchoborechpodosaţenípotřebnézkušenosti.

Abstract ANTSIPENKA, Hanna. Staff and Management Language Competencies in Hospitality Establishments. (Bachelor dissertation) Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. Prague: 2016. Total number of pages: 52 The aim of this study is to determine the level of foreign language competence among staff and top level management in the hotels in Prague, Czech Republic and determine how staff and management language competencies helps to build strong team and to achieve good results in their work. Because of the diverse nature of the hospitality industry, it is not easy to precisely define what skills and competencies a hospitality management graduate may need. Essential competencies in the hospitality industry are practically differing from those in the educational institutions. What competencies employees consider to be optional has been asked along with a number of management groups and the answer has changed over time.Besides practical, technical, marketing and managerial knowledge, in recent years due attention has been paid to communication skills in direct contact between hoteliers and guests.This study looks at communication in hotels; using quantitative data to discover what perceptions hotel employees hold, as seen as a group, and what hotel division managers, as seen as a group, hold on the importance of various languages. Questionnaire surveys are being, and will be, used to collect data from 41 hotelmanagers and 59 hotel employees. During this survey two hypotheses will be proved or disproved: 1. Knowledge of English is one of the main skills for employees working in Prague hotels. 2. Employees with degree in hospitality industry are being more competent and qualified rather than their colleagues of non-hospitality educational background after gaining the necessary experience.
