The utilization of GIS technology in work of travel agencies
Abstract:
Práce stručně charakterizuje geografické informační systémy (GIS) a pojednává o základních informačních technologiích používaných cestovními kancelářemi (CK). Hlavní část projektu je věnována současným způsobům využití technologie GIS v práci CK a prokázání alternativních využítí na případové studii. Případová studie je realizována v prostředí programu ArcGIS Desktop 9.1.
Abstract:
This graduation work describes main features of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and deals with basic information technologies which are used by the travel agencies. The main part of the document is focused on recent ways of the GIS technology utilization in daily operation of travel agencies and proves optional possibilities of utilization by the case study.
