Comparison of Banking Services for Target Group Students

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is the comparison of bank products intended target group of students on the basis of the chosen criteria and selection of the most appropriate student account, resp. student loan. The theoretical part - Chapter 1 - focuses on the status, function and operation of commercial banks on the Slovak market and the characteristics of their banking products. Practical part - Chapters 2 and 3 – describes the accounts and loans to students, their differences in the supply of selected banks and compare them based on defined parameters using multicriteria evaluation by TOPSIS method, which provides a complete set of all configuration options and is designed to select the best alternative. The result is the ranking of commercial banks in terms of the most appropriate account, respectively loan for target group students, which is influenced by the subjective preferences of the decision maker in determining of each criterion.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce je komparácia bankových produktov určených cieľovej skupine študenti na základe zvolených kritérií a výber najvhodnejšieho študentského účtu, resp. študentského úveru. Teoretická časť – kapitola 1 – sa zameriava na postavenie, funkcie a fungovanie komerčných bánk na slovenskom bankovom trhu a charakteristiku ich bankových produktov. Praktická časť – kapitoly 2 a 3 – popisuje účty a úvery určené študentom, ich odlišnosti v rámci ponuky vybraných bánk a ich porovnanie na základe určených parametrov použitím viackriteriálneho hodnotenia metódou TOPSIS, ktorá poskytuje úplné usporiadanie množiny všetkých alternatív a je určená na výber najlepšej alternatívy. Jej výsledkom je určenie poradia komerčných bánk z hľadiska najvhodnejšieho účtu, resp. úveru pre cieľovú skupinu študenti, ktoré je však ovplyvnené subjektívnymi preferenciami rozhodovateľa pri určovaní jednotlivých kritérií.
