The Actor´s self-confidence and confidence in other elements of the creative process

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Hercova důvěra v sebe a v ostatní pojednává o vývoji sebedůvěry v průběhu studia oboru Herectví činoherního divadla na Divadelní fakultě Akademie múzických umění v Praze. Počínaje situací, kdy byl člověk přijat ke studiu až po okamžik, kdy reprízuje absolventské inscenace ve školním divadle Disk. Zabývá se problémy jako jsou sebevědomí, sebekontrola, vztah jedince k vlastnímu tělu či zablokování se a reflektuje změny pozorované během osmi semestrů na DAMU. Analyzuje procesy, které vedly k hereckému osvobození se a popisuje práci na čtyřech postavách vytvořených během studia. Součástí diplomové práce je také zamyšlení nad tím, jak může kritika a zpětná vazba ovlivňovat psychické rozpoložení a motivaci k práci.

Abstract:

The thesis The Actor´s self-confidence and confidence in other elements of the creative process is focused on the development of self-confidence in the course of study of Acting of Dramatic Theatre at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. This process is observed and described starting from entering university until the graduation drama productions on the stage of the student theatre Disk. The topics of self-assurance, self-control, body language, feelings of inhibition are dealt with and relevant changes experienced and observed during 8 terms at university are reflected. The process leading to the release of tension while acting is analysed and the work and study of 4 staged drama characters is presented. The impact of theatre reviews and of offered feedback that can influence the actor´s frame of mind and work motivation is also considered and analysed.
