Fractographic and Microstructural Analysis of Selected Components of Firearms Handguns

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o využití fraktografické analýzy, a to za účelem zjištění vhodnosti kovových materiálů, používaných při výrobě ručních střelných zbraní a jejich komponentů. Cílem práce je na základě provedení vlastní fraktografické analýzy vybraných komponentů střelných zbraní posoudit materiál, z něhož jsou dané komponenty vyráběny, a to z hlediska dvou kritérií: bezpečnosti a životnosti. Stěžejními tématy práce jsou jednotlivé druhy kovů, obor fraktografie, její definice, historie a představení vybraných ručních střelných zbraní. Pozornost je také věnována legislativnímu vymezení, vztahujícímu se k tématice ručních střelných zbraní.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the use of fractographic analysis to determine the suitability of metallic materials used in the manufacture of small arms and their components. The aim of the thesis is to assess the material from which the components are made in terms of two criteria: safety and durability, based on a fractographic analysis of selected firearms components. The main topics of the thesis are the different types of metals, the field of fractography, its definition, history and introduction of selected small arms. Attention is also paid to the legislative defi-nition related to the topic of small arms.
