Perturbations in rotation curves of shell galaxies

Abstract:

Tato práce je věnována rotačním křivkám slupkových galaxií. Práce si klade za cíl zjistit, jak velké poruchy v rotační křivce primární galaxie mohou způsobit slupky v temné a svítivé hmotě. Úvodní část se zabývá problémem chybějící hmoty z historického pohledu. V dalších kapitolách jsou rozebírána konkurenční řešení tohoto problému - ΛCDM model a modifikovaná Newtonova dynamika. Poslední část je věnována slupkovým galaxiím, zpracování dat a výsledkům.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on rotation curves of shell galaxies. The main goal of the thesis is to determine how significant „bumps“ in rotation curve of primary galaxy can cause shells of dark and luminous matter. The first part of the thesis is overview of the missing mass problem. In the next parts are discussed competitive solutions of this problem – ΛCDM paradigm and modified Newtonian dynamics.
