Perspective of University Students in Part-time Study on Coping with Academic, Work and Family Demands

Abstract:

The thesis focuses theoretically on adult students in the higher education environ-ment, their reasons and motivations for studying, adaptation to university life, bal-ancing multiple responsibilities, life roles, and judgement of their studies and de-mands for part-time students. Empirically, the work examines the perspective of part-time university students on managing academic, work, and family demands and their perception of their studies.

Abstract:

Práca sa teoreticky zameriava na dospelých študentov v prostredí vysokého školstva, ich dôvody a motivácie k štúdiu, adaptáciu na vysokej škole, zlaďovanie viacerých povinností, na životné role či na hodnotenie samotného štúdia a jeho nárokov kombinovanými študentmi. Empiricky práca skúma pohľad vysokoškolských študentov kombinovaného štúdia na zvládanie študijných, pracovných a rodinných nárokov a ich vnímanie svojho štúdia.
